The Valley Heat sponsorship program is used to provide funding for team expenses (uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, player scholarships for those disadvantaged players who cannot afford the registration fee, etc.). The Valley Heat also performs fund raising activities throughout the year. However, these sources of income are not enough to cover all of the expenses of the program. Thus, the Valley Heat relies on the charity of others, individuals and businesses, to act as sponsors for the program. Sponsorships can be made to the program in the form of goods, services, or money. Since the Valley Heat are a non-profit organization, 501c(3), any donation to the program may be tax deductible and the sponsors can be assured that their donation is going to a good cause.
